While my lack of time to install them stays pretty much the same. If at all possible, I’ll install the new front rotors and pads on Friday night before a double header autoX weekend. If I’m feeling ambitious I’ll throw the rear swaybar on as well - I had been waiting on my axle back exhaust to arrive and then install them simultaneously but that’s apparently backordered until September now.

How agressive did you go on the Hawks?

HPS 5.0 - should be fairly daily friendly while offering a bit more bite for autoX. Will see just how well that pans out on Saturday if I do get them installed. I’m not sure if these are going to be useable in our Canadian winters - the working temperature range spec suggests they probably won’t - so I’ll likely have to put an OE set back in after the autoX season is over.

I went to HP+ on my Mini. Kinda wish I went with the HPS as the hot brake dust from the HP+ is starting to destroy the finish on my wheels.
Winter should be interesting. I don't have OE pads to go back to so I'm going to have to run the Hawks all year. Should be interesting for Ice Racing in January.

The HPS being low dust and easy on rotors while offering more stopping power were the biggest appeal to me. I don’t care much about my AutoX wheels but the Rays are pretty nice and I don’t like cleaning them all the time (or ever :P)

It’s a regional event so it’ll be competitive and I want to win one. I’m 2/3 at TLMC events so far so I want to win the club championship this year. I don’t have a shot at the regional one as I haven’t been able to attend one yet this year.

It’s a Subaru right? It will take longer to jack up the car and take the wheels off than it will to actually change the brakes. They are by far the easiest brakes I have ever done.
Perrin pulley?

Yup, ‘17 WRX. I don’t expect the brakes to be too time consuming. I have a rattle gun to make the wheel removal/installation quicker too so with a bit of luck a novice like me should still be able to do both sides in an hour or less.
Perrin shifter stop to eliminate the 1st/2nd gear slo p in the shifter that these cars are bad for. It’s an inexpensive and simple fix.
